Pájaro, vértigo
Reading Pallares, the cage of Pizarnik appears to announce flight. Caribbean words return to their origen, that is, to the patio of the house, the campfire, the backyard. All the sea's colours dream in the sun's breast, in the transparent light of its language.
Hellman Pardo, La Raíz Invertida
Pájaro, vértigo ('Bird, Vertigo'), published by Huerga y Fierro Editores in 2014, is Lilián Pallares' second collection of poems. We are immersed in a direct, experiential, and deeply personal poetry – lucid and vibrant. The poet never abandons her commitment to rigor and her desire to remain true to her aesthetic principles. Reading her poetry will surprise us and connect us with a vital, daring, and talented voice.
This book by Lilián is her recognition as a poet. […] She will undoubtedly bring us much joy in the coming months and years because she is a great poet.

It captures the intensity of feelings from an untamed heart, with a radical faith in the clear poetry of things, poised between celebration and elegy, fullness and emptiness. The poems seem like echoes of a meditative ecstasy shaking the vertigo of the human condition, cracking the walls of the house of time and the house of space to see beyond the height and the depth.
